Health Care Maryland Legislative Summary 2010

Now that the Governor has completed his bill signings, I’ve updated my legislative summaries for both elder law and health care laws this session.  For ease in reviewing, I separated out the elder law legislation (including guardianship, power of attorneys, and Department of Aging issues) and health care legislation (including all Medicaid, DDA, home and community based services, etc) and shortened them by removing the sponsors and committees.  I added some laws that were not included in my previous summaries, including the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act, and the Kids First Express Lane Eligibility Act, among others, so you may learn something new.  The bill numbers are hyperlinks to the Legislature’s website, where you can see the text of the law by clicking on the bottom on the “Chapter” version. Happy reading!
